So I share a name with some Professor in Holland. You can see we’re kind of battling it out on Google’s search results. Well, I say battling it out, neither of us is really trying. The thing is this: I could destroy him in Search. I know what I’m doing. I get paid for it. Should I wipe this guy from the first page of search results OR WHAT?
boring post which contains the text "my cute little tush looks good"
Yesterday I went shopping and only took cash, which worked out very well. Having a limit to stick too meant my savvy self showed up. This had me seeking out the best items for the lowest prices. A challenging aspect had been added to the normally boring process of shopping. I took the challenge and beat it to death with two £6.99 shirts (reduced way down from £50 each), a £20 pair of jeans (skinnier than I’m used to but my cute little tush looks good. ahem.) and a £30 huge warm zip-up hooded woollen jumper/cardigan/coat. This left me about £30 which I spend on tequila and beer.
is my mums birthday. Last week she sent us all a text saying that instead of buying her gifts, we give her cash, which I thought was really cheeky, especially as she wouldn’t tell us what she would be getting with the money.
She just told me now that she’s giving it to support Haiti because she already has everything. I teared up a bit!
I hope I can learn to be a bit more like her. Happy birthday mum!!
Amongst Hip Hop artists it’s saying a lot, but DMX is arguably the biggest anti-semite in rap (next to Nas and Mos Def) BUT we here at M.O.P. always brush that aside when we remember the special place in our heart that’s occupied by It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot track no.9, the seminal Damien.
Do you have an absolute favourite youtube video? Why or why not?
Because I don’t really fool around on YouTube. It’d probably something pretty pedestrian like a live Neil Young video or that kid with the ukelele playing that song I don’t like but he’s funny as hell at it. Lame answer..
Not having a tv was initially an attempt to watch less mind-numbing bullshit. It’s worked in that I’m more selective in what I watch (which I watch online), and I have ZERO tolerance for advertisements.
I started reading more (books) but now that’s changed to reading more (blogs & other). But at least I’m reading more.
In not watching tv I’ve started listening to Radio a hell of a lot more. Although this mainly occurs in the morning I sometimes listen later on.
My 3 regular favourites are
In Our Time, with Melvyn Bragg (tackles various historical events)
Desert Island Discs (always interesting no matter who the guest is)
