I don’t usually write anything like this, but here goes.
I found this news event to be unnerving for a number of reasons.
The publishing of this photo gives a sexual/sensual context to a non-sexual situation.
It’s an intrusion into a private situation that proves the photographer a pervert and the publisher a careless, vacuous leech.
Any argument advocating publishing photographs of this event because the subject chose to act as they wanted self-aware of their public status is thinking in similar ways to those who blame women’s choice of clothing for the occurrence of sex crimes.
I haven’t seen these photographs, nor will I try and find them.
I hope this post ranks somewhere within Google’s search results and convinces someone to change their search query, and go find something better to do.
